[Food & drinks]

At ISCTE you have a lot of bars, as you can see while you walk on the corridors (or in the map on your conference bag). But you have also some nice options quite close to the university, if you’re feeling like going out. At Avenida das Forças Armadas (the big street that goes down from ISCTE to Entrecampos) you can find on your left (if you’re going down): Cup n’ Cino (coffee shop and lounge, snacks, sandwich and short meals, drinks and coffee, wifi available); Panzumo (at the corner with Avenida 5 de Outubro, good variety of sandwiches); Cinderela (traditional Portuguese coffee, also serves meals). And on your right: there’s a Chinese Restaurant; Camponesa (traditional Portuguese food, you can also eat outside), Pindô (coffee and Ice-creams). At Entrecampos there is also a supermarket (on the corner of Av. das Forças Armadas with Av. da Républica).

[Shopping]

Feeling like buying some souvenirs? At ISCTE you can buy books at Almedina bookstore. Also check Bulhosa, at Entrecampos, if you’re interested in buying something to read. At Entrecampos you can also go to LANIDOR clothes shop. But for a proper shopping frenzy, maybe you should walk towards Campo Pequeno (following Av. da Républica) where you can find a shopping centre. Or, just take the subway to the city centre for more interesting options…

[Relax]

Near ISCTE you can find the University Stadium (near the subway: Cidade Universitária) a big open air spot where you can run, play,  swim or simply go for a walk and have a meal. At Entrecampos starts Campo Grande, a big garden with a lake and a lot of grass to sit on. And ISCTE has also a lot of open air spots…

[Other useful spots]

At ISCTE you have a copystore (Danka, at Ed. I). Nearby there is also DISCOPI, you just need to cross Av. das Forças Armadas. On both places you can buy stationery and some useful tools as usb sticks. You can find a pharmacy at Av. Estados Unidos da América quite close to Entrecampos. ISCTE is also close to the Santa Maria Hospital, where you can also find a pharmacy. If you need to post some mail, there is a CTT agency at Av.da Républica nº 99.
